Affären - eine Werkübersicht von Gerd Rothmann

The exhibiton displays work which ranges from 1968 until today. The pieces shown are important part of the artists own archive. "Affairs" the title of this exhibition originates from Rothmann himself, trying to express the nervous, sensual vibrating between a piece of jewellery and a person. Making jewellery is his work. Sensing the secret desires of a person and the need to experience oneself on another level is his material. The aesthatic demands of Rothmann come from the analysis of art and men. Both is inspired by each other and can not be disconnected. This  aspects are existential for him and his work.
