Shine 2025, the Goldsmiths’ Centre’s celebrated annual showcase of new talent in jewellery and silversmithing, returns on 17 September 2025. This year, eleven exceptional UK-based designer-makers have been selected to present their collections at the Goldsmiths’ Centre’s exhibition space near Farringdon station in London.
Launching with a special one-night-only pop-up celebration, Shine invites jewellery lovers, collectors, design enthusiasts to meet the makers, discover their stories, and shop one-of-a-kind pieces. The collections will be on display and available to purchase until 22 December 2025, both in person and online.
Chosen from an open call by guest judges jewellery writer and journalist Rachael Taylor and jewellery designer Darren Sherwood (Mr Sherwood), this year’s line-up features jewellers, Heather Blake, Edwin Charmain (Pusaka), Carol Cole (Carol Cole Jewellery), Shirani Fernando (Shirani Jewellery), Misha McLean, Niamh Wright (NifJewels), Marina Skia, Junru Erin, Wenyin Jiang, and silversmiths and jewellers Beca Fflur and Iona Hall (Iona Hall Silversmith).
Charlotte Dew, Head of Public Programmes, explains: Shine is more than just a showcase - it’s a springboard for emerging talent. Through dedicated business training, creative storytelling, and public exposure, we equip each maker with the tools and confidence to grow a sustainable, independent practice. It’s always a privilege to watch their journeys unfold and to help connect them with new audiences who value craftsmanship and innovation.
Building on the success of last year’s event, which attracted over 200 visitors on opening night, Shine 2025 continues to grow its reach and impact. All purchases – whether made during the launch event or online – directly support the participating makers in building sustainable creative businesses. As part of the associated training programme, the designers have also created short films and interviews, offering personal insights into their creative journeys.
