Peter Schmid
Peter Schmid's mastery is a luminous dialogue between past & present.
Globally revered, Schmid does not simply design, he listens. To the weight of metal, the whisper of stone, the silence between forms. Each creation becomes a work of art etched in gold and gemstone, a declaration for those who live beyond the ordinary. Schmid’s latest exhibition, Amour, invites viewers into a world where jewelry is more than adornment; it is a language of emotion, a physical expression of passion, instinct, and care. He brings together his most evocative art jewelry, revealing the deeply human impulses at the core of his work.
Under indigo skies dyed with Tuareg blue, stories linger in tattoo and textile, in glyphs carved into the bones of the desert. These symbols are reimagined in Schmid’s hands, geometry reborn as ornament, memory forged in metal.
His creations flirt with the surreal: opals that catch fire mid-breath, moonstones that glow like inner light, aquamarines that thrum with life. Gold, platinum, and silver melt into luminous gradients, suspending precious stones in liquid dreamscapes. These are not accessories, but talismans, echoes of heritage, pride, and power.
Each piece in this exhibition presents the bold, emotive world of Schmid, where fine jewelry becomes wearable art. Through gold, platinum, and vibrant gemstones, Schmid channels amour—not soft or sweet, but fierce and alive. His designs pulse with the energy of wild hearts, breaking conventions with painterly textures, asymmetry, and raw elegance. Yet every piece is shaped with gentle hands, crafted with care, balanced for the body, and made to be felt. Jewelry here isn’t worn, it’s lived.
Here, three forces intertwine Amour, wild hearts, and gentle hands. Together, they define the emotional terrain of the exhibition.
Peter Schmid will be present through August 18th.
Opening hours: 1 - 31 August 2025; Monday - Sunday, 11am - 5pm.
