In those rare, fleeting moments when everything aligns, we transform. These fuel our process as makers. Our collaboration unites 11 voices from around the globe, each bringing diverse backgrounds and perspectives, yet all connected by a shared language of contemporary jewellery.

The dynamic journey of each individual in the creation of these collections was paved with profound Aha! moments. As we connected the dots, we saw how these insights shaped our work—each one unexpected—mapping the way forward, where ideas transformed into jewellery or body-related art, and led us here.

Anna Ariutkina (MFA) from Kazakhstan—her Aha! moment strikes after she’s exhausted every possibility, mixing and matching until her brain spins! It’s in those playful collisions of day-to-day things and materials that catch her off guard, where a spark flies, and bam—the magic unfolds, transforming the ordinary into something extraordinary!

Arianaz Dehghan (MFA) from Irancrack, snap! Aha! Her gemstones had other plans! Rather than surrendering, she found a rhythm in the breakage, wove resilience into every fracture, mended with hair, and stitched them back together. What seemed like an ending became a beginning—a method, a path, a journey of reimagining wholeness.

Chidimma Omeke (MFA) from Nigeria—when joy takes the wheel, the Aha! moments spark with zing! It’s this constant indwelling of joy, settling into an inner resting place, that drives him as he creates.

Dua Fatima Baig (MFA) from Pakistan—caught in her daily grind, hits pause. Pulling away from the creative rut, something shifts in the stillness and distance. Suddenly, Aha! Fresh connections emerge, untapped possibilities surface, urging her to perceive the silent rhythm that governs domestic life through a new lens.

Grace Horton (MFA) from Australia—zoning out in the depths of a theory class. Scribbling! Aha! Just when she’s supposed to be focused, a rogue idea waltzes in—it’s in those offbeat moments that the sparks fly!

Grit-Ute Zille (MFA) from Germany—after delving deep into her thesis writing, the missing link revealed itself, bringing clarity to the unconscious aspects of her work. Her Aha! moment snapped into focus when she discovered the profound inner connection between her theoretical research and artistic work. Gaining a new viewpoint—not as separate paths but as intertwined elements.

Iris Hummer (MFA) from Austria—leaving no stone unturned. Her Aha! moment is the point when several elements that are perceived from different contexts begin to overlap and combine to form a whole, creating a new unit.

Lena Bonsack (BFA) from Germany—her ideas love to pop in when she’s busy with something totally unrelated. When a thought sneaks in during her off-topic moments, she knows it’s time to follow that spark! Distraction? Nah, it’s just the spotlight shining—that’s her Aha! moment, her cue to chase it down!

Nioosha Vaezzadeh Angoshtarsaz (MFA) from Iran—her Aha! moment bubbles up when the inequalities faced by women in her home country crash over her like a wave—stirring a deep response that drives her to transform those triggers into action through her jewellery.

Niyoushasadat Moosavi (MFA) from Iran—her Aha! moment strikes when her jewellery resonates deeply with people, evolving from mere adornment to a spark of connection. Stirring emotions, shifting perspectives, and becoming wearable activism that catalyzes awareness on pressing issues like mental health.

Sara Heidary Totshamy (MFA) from Iranriiiip! Aha! The moment hits when beauty breaks free from what was meant to restrain her. Reimagining fabric, she transforms it from a symbol of control to jewellery that celebrates empowerment.

Each member’s distinctive journey contributes to something greater than the sum of its parts. Collectively, we embody layers of insights that enrich both ourselves and those who experience our work.

We are graduates of 2025 from Campus Idar-Oberstein, Germany.
Together, we are the Aha Collaboration in action!

AHA exhibition will be shown at IHM Handwerk & Design during Munich Schmuck Fair 2025 in Munich in Hall B1.737 from 12th to 16th of March 2025.
