Artist list

Attai Chen, Johannes Nagel
The publishing house Arnoldsche ART PUBLISHERS continues its exhibition series on outstanding positions in art, crafts and design - with jewelery by Attai Chen and ceramics by Johannes Nagel.

Attai Chen won after completing his studies Bezalel Academy Jerusalem and the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich in 2011 the prestigious Herbert Hofmann Prize. On the one hand, his jewelry is a political statement, on the other hand, he explores the secrets of nature with a variety of materials. Works by Chen are u. a. at the Metropolitan Museum New York and the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.

Chance and gesture play a central role in the work of Johannes Nagel. His objects, partly based on traditional vascular concepts and partly completely free, examine the connection between form and idea. With the development of vessel shapes by digging in the sand he gives the process of seeking a material existence. Nagel's works are at work u. a. in the Victoria and Albert Museum London and in the Musée Ariana Geneva.
