As the title of the exhibition suggests, this group of jewellery artists is closely associated by where they live and work but also by a shared approach to sourcing their creativity through observations and thoughts on the world and phenomena outside themselves.
The forms of expression are abstract or representational. There are references to nature and the artificial world we live in and human existence in this world.
Within the diversity of the work shown in this exhibition there is the common factor of integrity in the use of material, colour, pattern and texture to “speak” to the recipient. / Prof. Daniel Kruger, Kunsthochschule Halle, 2016
