Come step inside. What do you see? Who do you see? Do you recognise the glance? Is it the same as before entering the room? It's the same glimpse that you catch in reflections on the street. Is the mask on your face or in the exhibition space? Where does one begin and the other end?
Artist list
Claudia Lepik, Eric Pillmann
The title of the exhibition, CE-files. Part I symbolises the first collective creation of two artists. The works of both Claudia, C, Lepik and Eric, E, Pillman are characterised by a playful and technical meeting point – moving elements, precise solutions that are characteristic of people today, a kind of illusory personality, somewhat perceivable, but on closer inspection impossible to put your finger on it. CE has created universes where you can place yourself into its role and give an idea of what process is needed to find it.
Claudia Lepik (born 1996) graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts with a degree in jewellery and blacksmithing in 2018 and has since focused on creating theatrical jewellery. She has resided in New York and London and participated in group exhibitions in Estonia and abroad. She has had solo exhibitions in New York (2019) and London (2020). She is inspired by combining fashion and jewellery.
Eric Pillmann (born 1996) graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts in 2020 with a degree in jewellery and blacksmithing (BA). His works have been exhibited in several group exhibitions both in Estonia and abroad. He draws inspiration from life itself – people, architecture, and nature.
The collaboration of CE began in 2021 and will not end soon.
