​At Escola Massana, jewellery is understood not merely as an object to be worn, but as a cultural artefact capable of conveying ideas, narratives and critical positions.

From the very beginning of the programme, students are encouraged to develop their own perspective. Alongside the acquisition of technical skills and craftsmanship, the educational process places particular emphasis on creativity, originality and the construction of a personal visual language. In a globalised context, where production is increasingly shaped by uniform trends, we believe that singularity is essential for building an authentic and sustainable professional practice.

The Artistic Jewellery programme spans two intensive years, during which project-based learning accompanies students throughout their education. Over the course of the programme, each student gradually identifies the questions that matter most to their practice, experiments with materials and processes, and develops a coherent body of work that culminates in an individual artistic proposal. This journey enables each graduate to find their own position within the field of contemporary jewellery, whether pursuing an independent studio practice, gallery-based work or other professional paths.

Perhaps the most striking aspect of this graduating class is the diversity of approaches developed within a shared educational framework. Although all students begin with the same technical foundations, each has developed a distinctive artistic language, exploring different materials, conceptual concerns and making processes. Together, these projects demonstrate that contemporary jewellery is not a single practice but a field of multiple perspectives and possibilities.

This exhibition brings together the work of twelve emerging jewellery artists, presenting the outcome of this creative journey. Twelve individual voices and twelve distinct ways of engaging with contemporary jewellery, united by a shared commitment to critical thinking, material experimentation and the continual expansion of the possibilities of the discipline.
