During the past year nine artists from Finland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden have met in the project Everything Looks Good. The artists work with material-based art in different ways. Everything looks good can be a way of ignoring the actual state of things and focus on the surface and facade. It can reflect posts on social media where life seems flawless and always from the right angle to blur out what seems imperfect. For artists, social media can function as an accessible, democratic art space with the ability to reach anyone with access to a screen. The image of the work become the work itself.
The nine participating artists in the exhibition have for some time shared pictures of their works with each other and say that everything often looks good. Now they meet in a physical exhibition. The visitors will be able to come close the works and the details. Will everything look good?
During the artist talk, the 6 of October, the work will be discussed, and we will hear more about the results and the thoughts behind.
Opening during Stockholm Craft Week in the presence of the artists: 5th of October, 17.00 – 20.00
Opening hours during Stockholm Craft Week: Friday 11.00-19.00, Saturday 11.00-15.00
Artist talk Friday 6th of October 17.00 – 19.00
Opening hours during exhibition: Tuesday - Friday 11.00-18.00, Saturday 11.00-15.00
The exhibition is made with support of Swedish Arts Grants Committee, Nordic Culture Fundation, Kulturfonden för Sverige och Finland and Swedish Arts Council. It will be shown during Stockholm Craft week and after that until 27th of October 2023.
