Galleri Smedjan proudly presents Tanel Veenre’s solo exhibition Hesitations on the Edge of Light and Shadow. You are kindly invited to the exhibition opening on Saturday, March 14th, open from 15:00 to 19:00.

In Hesitations on the Edge of Light and Shadow, Tanel Veenre explores the delicate interplay between humor and eroticism, beauty and fear. His works, often vibrant with light tones and shades of pink, are accentuated by deep, dark contrasts. Beauty is unavoidable, as is death. This combination creates a playful yet provocative tension, inviting viewers to linger between light and shadow.
Through these pieces, Veenre examines the nuanced boundaries of desire, vulnerability, and visual delight.
Opening: Saturday, March 14th, open from 15:00 to 19:00.
Artist talk: Sunday, March 15th. 13:00.
The exhibition is on show until April 17th 2026.
With support from the Swedish Arts Council, Region Jämtland Härjedalen and IASPIS, the Swedish Arts Grants Committee´s International Programme for Visual and Applied Arts.
Through these pieces, Veenre examines the nuanced boundaries of desire, vulnerability, and visual delight.
