Inspired by Tradition. The Munich Oktoberfest

The Munich Oktoberfest gathers visitors from all over the world under the "magnificent white and blue canopy of gemütlichkeit" (Carl Avery). The majority comes from Bavaria, many from Munich and the surrounding regions. Traditional Bavarian costume - or what people might perceive as traditional – has become a part of everyday life. At the "Wiesn" urban middle-class customs and Bavarian traditions blend in and create a sense of pure joie de vivre. This complex mixture provides an almost infinite source of inspiration – even during the current Covid break. Come take a look and get inspired!
