MIA & TARJA by Mia Maljojoki and Tarja Tuupanen

The two artists Mia Maljojoki and Tarja Tuupanen hail from the same region of North Karelia, in their mutual homeland of Finland. Today they live in different parts of Europe but from time to time still cross each other’s paths during their international jewellery engagements, at exhibitions and other events. Immediately they are connected by Karelian, the dialect, and the past, adventures, and experiences which are part and parcel of their ancestry.
