Galerie Handwerk of the Chamber of Crafts for Munich and Upper Bavaria warmly invites you to the exhibition Papier perFormt.
Curated by Claudia Lassner and Michael Harteis, the exhibition brings together 43 works from Germany and abroad, exploring paper as an independent artistic and craft medium. Beyond its everyday use, paper is presented here as a versatile material capable of creating form, space, and structure.
The exhibition features, among other works, light objects made from delicate fibre papers, textile constructions from paper yarns, sculptural pieces in cardboard and papier-mâché, as well as jewellery, book art, and experimental printmaking. Through techniques such as cutting, folding, layering, pressing, and printing, the artists create works that explore the boundaries between surface and space—sometimes delicate and translucent, sometimes powerful and spatially expansive.
Opening: Thursday, 11 June 2026, at 6:30 pm.
The exhibition will be open to the public from 12 June to 25 July 2026 during the gallery’s regular opening hours.
We also warmly invite you to the following events:
