Intro
As part of the France-Israel Season 2018, Elsa Vanier has invited three Israeli designers to exhibit their contemporary jewellery. By doing so, she is creating a dialogue with three selected French designers.

Artist list

Marianne Anselin, Florence Croisier, Yael Friedman, Hadas Levin, Shir Pins, Agathe Saint Girons
Yael Friedman has been exploring new shapes, materials, techniques and technologies for more than 20 years. She considers jewellery as an interactive form of art, wearable sculptures that call on the wearer to manipulate them.

For Hadas Levin, jewellery making is like a continuous story. A tale using an intimate language of images and shapes. She weaves her own story into her work, one told in a language of materials, images and forms.

Most of Shir Pins‘ works originate in a thought or observation that the designer feels is essential to express in material form. Her jewellery is an intimate object - revealing or on the contrary, concealing the thoughts and desires of the wearer.

Their pieces echo those of Marianne Anselin, Florence Croisier and Agathe Saint-Girons, three creators represented by the Galerie Elsa Vanier,  as we remarked that their favourite subjects or the themes they like to develop were like our guests.

Marianne Anselin is the essence of contemporary jewelry: personal expression, the relation to the human body and a reflection on the meaning of beauty.
Wrought or rusted iron is her favourite material. Her jewelry seems to have a soul and inspire subtle poetry.

Florence Croisier prefers malleable, sensual metals, opting for gold or titanium. There is no place for gemstones in her quest for simplicity and equilibrium. She offers us exquisitely pure, refined pieces.
Her larger and most striking pieces were selected by museums from Paris to Kyoto.

Be it in jewellery design, glass work or plastic arts, Agathe Saint Girons produces the most amazing works. Her love of wordplay, people, emotions push her to design works that are moving, intriguing and often full of fun.
