It is not the materials used, but the care with which it is made and the ultimate form that determines the impact of a piece of jewellery. Jewellery is both a reflection of our personality and an expression of the times in which we live.

For the most part, thousands of minuscule antique glass or metal beads are threaded on silk and individually knotted. Special clasps and closures are designed for each individual piece.

The garnet/glass/titanium collection is a completely new development, using garnets in an unorthodox form of adhesion. The garnet are fused in glass and then inserted in wound glass beads. The resultant presentation of Bohemian garnet in a combination of materials is something quite new in jewellery.

In my design terminology, as I go about my designs, I create a ‘new world’: a reflection of my perception of the world around me. A new visual approach to the material used emerges, as do new associations between form, colour and function. These individual means of expression are basically vehicles for conveying my emotions.
