Intro
The exhibition showcases the impressive jewellery collection of Dirk Schrijvers, a passionate Antwerp-based art collector. The 200 jewels, most of which were created in Antwerp, provide a unique insight into the work of over 60 designers during the past 25 years.

Artist list

Wouters Hendrix, Lien Hereijgers, Rembrandt Jordan, Dimitar Stankov, Nico Taeymans, Dries Van Noten, Daisy Verheyden, Peter Vermandere, Anne Zellien
Dirk Schrijvers' collection is highly personal and often conceptual in nature. He collects jewellery that touches him emotionally; for him, a piece of jewellery does not have to be merely beautiful or wearable. His favourite items are brooches of an experimental nature; he sees them as sculptures in miniature. Not only the colour, but also the shape and the materials play an important part in his selection process.

The jewellery itself reflects a variety of themes and highlights the layered nature of the collection. In addition, the jewellery designers Rembrandt Jordan, Dimitar Stankov, Peter Vermandere, and Nadine Wijnants will be explaining their work and their special connection to the collector in more depth in a number of filmed interviews (viewable at the exhibition).
