Loss translated in its own way into being tactile with myself. The tic disorder that developed forced me to be tactile with my own body which brings comfort and peace. The connection is made with a sacred relic, which people turn to for that same comfort and tranquility. My relic is not an object. It is my body and the actions it takes that I cannot control. This quest is translated visually. These intermediate objects reveal what my body undergoes on a daily basis. They show the factors of wear and tear and pain, but also the comfort this tic disorder brings.. Anke Raeymaekers
