Quintet: A Conversation in Design is a touring exhibition, catalogue and website of contemporary jewellery from five Canadian designers and educators from George Brown College, Toronto. The exhibition tours private and public galleries throughout Canada through 2012 and 2013. It is anticipated that the exhibition will travel to the United States after completing the Canadian tour.

Quintet is a not a theme but the collective identity for five mid-career jewellery designers with unique and developed artistic voices. The conversational thread that connects the work is a common approach to communicating ideas through various systems of knowledge and understanding; and a contemporary exploration of jewellery materials and techniques. The underlying systems that provide inspiration for the work include the natural world, the human body, the social body, and structures of identity.

The work exemplifies quality goldsmithing and jewellery design in Canada today. Quintet presents jewellery that honours and values traditional materials, techniques and specialised labour as well as cutting edge digital technologies of design and production. There are over 100 jewellery pieces - in gold, silver, stainless steel and precious gemstones - presented in custom-built walnut and felt display units designed and produced in collaboration with the School of Design at George Brown College.
