This jewelry series unravels and weaves a "conceptual space" made of fabric and metal. The series examines the dynamics of gender power relations by creating new connections between church floor plans, where there is a fusion of aspects perceived as masculine and feminine, and textile crafts, labeled as feminine, linking women to the domestic space. Through this exploration, the series offers a renewed look at the separations between the feminine and the masculine, the soft and the rigid, and challenges traditional concepts of space, gender, and materiality.

As a traditional Druze girl connected to my home and roots, I am exploring the renewal and preservation of traditions and customs. For this purpose, I started at my grandparents' house, gathering traditional handmade feminine items.
. In this project, I focused on traditional basic foods that I grew with: Saj - a Druze pita, Zakalit Labneh - Labneh balls in olive oil, and Dukka - which is a spice mixture primarily based on za'atar.

The graduates of the class of 2024 at Shenkar began their studies at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic and developed their final projects under the shadow of war and the horrors of October 7th. In the face of these unprecedented challenges, they demonstrated resilience, flexibility, and perseverance.

They succeeded in presenting innovative, projects of the highest quality, worthy of the Jewelry Design Department at Shenkar. This year marks 25 years since the department's inception. Throughout these years, our staff has worked to foster a sense of community, even of family, to create a challenging but inclusive and supportive environment. This atmosphere has enabled our graduating students to turn adversity into a source of creativity and hope, demonstrating the power of continuous creative action, especially in times of crisis.

The projects reflect diverse themes, from intimate explorations of body and mind to explorations of the social construction of identity. Some works were directly influenced by the year's events, prompting graduates to recalibrate their final projects. Highlights include jewelry using silver and 3D printing, experimental eyeglasses challenging aesthetics, protective armor symbolizing immigrant experiences, and pieces addressing gender, structure, and value. The dedication to the creative process is evident in projects like intuitive ceramic and steel jewelry, dual-state wearable sculptures, and a solitaire ring, reimagining status and prestige. Additionally, family and home inspired many projects, including technologically unique applications that merge personal data with design.
