Intro
The Society of North American Goldsmith presents an exhibition of 12 contemporary jewellery artists in the 4th edition of Triple Parade, a prestigious international cultural project and one of China’s leading contemporary applied art and design exhibitions.
Curated by Ezra Satok-Wolman, the exhibition showcases the work of North American artists, from the United States and Canada, at different stages of their careers, all of whom display a mastery of technique and mastery of material in the jewellery they create, in addition to the successful synthesis of concept, design, and functionality.

Artist list

Emily Cobb, Dan DiCaprio, Donald Friedlich, Aurélie Guillaume, Adam Hawk, Kevin Hughes, Yong Joo Kim, Matt Lambert, Wendy McAllister, Paul McClure, Ezra Satok-Wolman, Lauren Tickle
While the notions of Past, Present and Future will surely be interpreted differently by each viewer of the exhibition,  my hope is that it becomes clear that the concurrency of time and the interdependent relationships between Past, Present, and Future, whether in the context of technology, material, or time itself, are constants in art and design.  Whether intentionally or not, each of the artists in the exhibition has explored their own views of time and expressed themselves in vastly differing ways. Curating this exhibition has reinforced my belief that Past, Present and Future are eternally connected, interdependent, and impossible to separate from one another.

About Triple Parade
The 4th TRIPLE PARADE Biennale themed “Three Times” will open at Shanghai HOW Art Museum-Design Center on 19th October 2018, under the joint efforts with College of Design and Innovation (D&I), Tongji University. The event consists of exhibition, symposium, lectures and workshops. The exhibition, which comprises four sections– Intimate Encounter, Like Attracts Like, Arty Game, and Viva La Different, will display 500 pieces of artworks created by nearly 300 artists from 34 countries and regions. The artworks in the “Intimate Encounter” section were selected through a public invitation that was open internationally for 18 months, the pieces in “Like Attracts Like” were selected and sent by international galleries, “Arty Game” consists of artworks from outstanding contemporary visual artists, while “Viva La Different” features a collection selected by curators from ten countries and regions. This year's Biennale will present the vast diversity of global contemporary jewellery creations to the Chinese public while generating fascinatingly creative and inspiring dialogues in contemporary art, fashion, design and crafts. We sincerely invite you to enjoy this “feast” of contemporary jewellery, which is full of captivating surprises and enlightenments for the future.
