In the late-autumn to early-winter transition, our days are filled with both fatigue and a quiet sense of expectation. As the year draws to a close, routine often feels heavier, yet the promise of rest, gathering, and reflection slowly approaches. It is within this narrow interval—just before celebrations fully surface—that small forms of beauty and care can offer the most gentle comfort.
Artist list
Soohyun Chou, Yuri Jin, Seongsoo Kim, Suchan Kim, Yunjin Kim, Hyesun Lee, Youngjoo Lee, Junsuk Min, Juhyung Park, Minho Song, Mariko Sumioka, Keigo Tamura
SOU (小雨), literally “small rain,” evokes a drizzle so fine it seems to hover between air and water, softening the boundary between the two. The exhibition turns toward these delicate atmospheres—the shift in light, the weight of humidity, and the quiet moment when a carefully made object slows our pace.
Featuring contemporary artists working across diverse media, SOU 小雨: Time In-Between — Pre-Holiday Collection explores how nuanced textures, colors, and structures translate this transitional season into tangible form. Some works echo the cadence of daily life, while others move toward abstraction, suggesting inner landscapes or emotional tones rather than explicit narratives. What unites them is a shared attention to process, detail, and the slow, patient time of making—so different from the accelerated tempo of contemporary life.
Within this modest yet dense constellation of works, we hope visitors may find a brief pause: a place to rest the eye and mind, sense the warmth held within crafted objects, and welcome the approaching holiday season with a quieter, renewed sense of anticipation.
Curated and Organized by Youngjoo Lee.
Visiting hours: 11 am-5 pm.
