Enamel has been used since the Byzantine era to create religious icons, and the time-consuming and technically complicated craft is often associated with historical motifs and jewellery.

The American artist Zachery Lechtenberg uses the technique to create something completely different; three-dimensional drawings with attitude and humour that are very much alive here and now.
A pandemic is spreading forcing us to do things in a different way - stay at home, keep our distance, wash our hands. Here in Sweden, the schools are shutting down, we are told not to visit our elder relatives and a lot of people might lose their jobs. But the virus also has positive effects - it has heavily reduced carbon dioxide emissions and I can imagine it will be a good cure for a lot of too stressed and overworked people. It will be very interesting to see what comes out of this - maybe it will change how we look at things, maybe some new thoughts and projects will evolve.
At Four we are still running the business as normal - but if you would like to make a digital visit just let me know and I will make my best to present Four and our upcoming show with images, words and videos!
