The Transparent Breath celebrates the genius of the artist, the breath that shapes the material making it both unique and eternal. Ancestral entities like fire, breath, the hand of man become protagonists in celebrating the noble and ancient material of glass reinterpreting it in a contemporary way.

The exhibition is therefore a bit of an unfinished story, a glimpse into the contemporary panorama of the glass jewel. The city, with its extraordinary artistic and architectural heritage, is configured as a natural and excellent home for this initiative.

The exhibition is going to be part of the program of events of The Italian Glass Weeks festival, a new important festival organized as part of the 2022 United Nations International Year of Glass. The first week of the event will be held in Milan from 10th to 18th September 2022 and will be dedicated mainly to industrial glass. The second week, however, is going to be held in Venice from 17th to 25th September 2022 and will be dedicated to artistic glass. The festival, presented and promoted by the organizers of Vision Milan Glass Week and therefore the Venice Glass Week, aims to point out, promote and support glass in Italy at national and international level.

The selected artists’ jewels are housed in a prestigious location, a true treasure chest: the ancient Palazzo Nani Mocenigo, a few steps from Le Gallerie dell'Accademia, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and also the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute. The triumph of Venetian history welcomes the contemporary in an ever-new dialogue, without ever betraying history and tradition.

The creations on display were made according to different glass processing techniques; blown glass, lampwork, glass casting. Among the artists there are DriftLand (Russia), Sio2 Glass Jewelry (Spain), Antonija Gospić (Croatia) Kopoli (Japan), Agustina Ros (Spain), Olga Tabakova (Russia), Cecilia López Bravo (USA), Cortestudioglass (Italy), Muriel Balensi (Italy), Atelier Alessandra (Italy), Móró Barbara Glass (Hungary), Anna Boothe (USA), Amy L. West (Italy), Minori Takagi (Canada), Glass Berries (Latvia), Celina Glass Art (Germany), David Melamed (Canada), Alexandra Mezo (Ireland), Ioanna Art Jewelry (Serbia), L'Etoile de Verre (France) Ana Marìa Reque Sotelo (Italy).

The event is going to be held from August 25th to September 25th 2022, 10AM - 6PM in Palazzo Nani Mocenigo - ADmore Gallery, Fondamenta Nani 960 Venice, Italy.

Do not miss, Sunday, September 18 at 11:00 some of the designers' protagonists of this exhibition will be present for a meeting.
