Katja Prins
Katja Prins’ Uncanny Incarnations shows the progress in her career in the international contemporary art jewelry world between 1997-2014.
With her work, she wants to tell stories about the body... the body as an instrument...as a machine. She also sees an instrument or a machine as an extension of the body. To her, the human body is an extension of the mind, by changing and improving it with the technology.

Her pieces tell stories about the intimate relationship between human bodies, mechanic devices, medical technology and industry. She wants to explore how they relate to each other... to explore an interaction that is rapidly increasing these days.
