Stellenbosch University’s Visual Art Department showcases the work of the fourth year from the three disciplines: Fine Art, Jewellery Design and Visual Communication Design. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the graduating class of 2020 decided to exhibit their work in an accessible online format.

This is the fourth and final year for undergraduate students and is the equivalent of an honours degree. This year they have combined theory and practice to create practice-based research projects. These year-long projects are aimed at generating new knowledge, solving problems and changing mindsets. Using traditional and new techniques, the students work towards creating meaningful projects that consider social, environmental and cultural responsibility. Fine Art, Jewellery Design and Visual Communication Design courses encourage students to act and think critically with an aim to change the world for the better.
