Intro
The title Where else? has ramifications in world politics (as well as show locations), and can in fact be interpreted as a statement about the spreading tyranny, kleptocracy, injustice and political instability in the world, and where else it might appear.

Jewelers’ Werk Galerie presents recent work by 3 artists in an exhibition during Munich Jewellery Week. This show is the second edition of one that was exhibited in the gallery in Washington as well as other locations titled “Elsewhere”. The title “Where else?" has ramifications in world politics (as well as show locations,) and can in fact be interpreted as a statement about the spreading tyranny, kleptocracy, injustice and political instability in the world, and where else it might appear.


About artists:
Following her apprenticeship as a goldsmith in Neugablonz, from 1987 to 1993 Bettina Dittlman studied with Professors Hermann Jünger and Otto Künzli at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. From 1989 to 1991, she studied at SUNY/New Paltz, under Jamie Bennett and J. Fred Woell. Her works have been presented in solo and group shows in Europe and North America, and have been acquired by a number of museum collections.

Michael Jank studied design in Munich and engraving and photography at the State University of Oregon. His work has been exhibited frequently.

Carolanne Patterson has been teaching in the Art Department at New York University for the past 10 years, as well as Parson's School of Design in NYC. She holds a Master's of Fine Arts and a Bachelors of Fine Arts, both in the area of metalsmithing. She also has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art History. She has exhibited her work in the US and Europe, and continues to show her sculptures, drawings, and jewelry. She was a Fulbright Fellow to Prague in 1993-4.  Carolanne is the U.S. based Director of Study Abroad Programs at ArtMill, leading the University-level Bohemian Workshops.
