Klitm02 together with Joya Barcelona and the Museu de la Xocolata are organizing an exhibition related to gastronomy, the main subject for the 2017 Joya Barcelona Jewellery Week.
Open call to Klimt02 members to submit projects for a juried exhibition with 10 artists jewelers and 10 Master Chocolatiers. Jewelers are asked to design and construct a mould to be used by the Master Chocolatier as formal and conceptual base to create a chocolate with special ingredients. The mould will be also used by the jeweler to create the jewelery piece.

- Deadline to receive the graphic proposal of the mould: 19th May 2017
- Klimt02 selection announcement: 26th May 2017
- Deadline to receive the mould for the Master Chocolatiers: 23rd June 2017
- Deadline to receive the piece for the exhibition: 21st July 2017

- Exhibition dates: 20th September to 10th October 2017
- Opening of the exhibition: 2nd October 2017

Gathering a great number of independent artists as well as related organizations, schools and other entities, JOYA, in its 9th edition prepares to present excellence and innovation in art jewellery relating with other fields of art, this year is the turn of Gastronomy.

About Museu de la Xocolata.
The Chocolate Museum is a dynamic facility promoted by the Barcelona Provincial Confectionery Guild and located in the former Sant Agustí monastery. It provides a journey through the origins of chocolate, its arrival in Europe and its spread as an element between myth and reality, its medicinal properties and nutritional value, relating tradition with the future and forming part of our collective imagination.

To be part of the selection please submit the following information via Wetransfer to until 19th May 2017:
- Graphic image/s of the project (as many as needed to understand the proposal). Size of the images 1000 pix wide at 72dpi.
- Brief statement.
- Technical description of the mould and the jewel including technics, materials, constructive process and any relevant information for the good comprehension of the project.

*Very important:
For the Master Chocolatiers to work with the mould, it is absolutely necessary the surface to be used as mould absolutely polished, out of any porus, otherwise cannot be used. For example any polished metal, silicone, plastic, wood... can be used.
