The Beijing International Jewellery Art Exhibition, launched in 2013 as a biennial event, has been organized by Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology for 12 years.
This exhibition is dedicated to showcasing the global development and trend evolution of jewellery art. In 2019 alone, it featured 312 artists and designers from 46 countries and regions. The same year witnessed the establishment of the International Jewellery College Association (IJCA), the first international design organization chaired by China. To date, the alliance has grown to 104 member institutions spanning five continents and 13 countries. Over its 12-year trajectory, the Beijing International Jewellery Art Exhibition has evolved into the world's largest academic event in the field of jewellery art.
I. Exhibition Theme: Harmony and Coexistence
The theme of this exhibition is Harmony and Coexistence. Harmony refers to the shining of harmony among nations and the shining of artistic civilization of peace, echoing the resplendent shining of jewelry. Coexistence signifies the joint efforts of all humanity towards building a community with a shared future. The touring exhibition invites designers, artists, and practitioners from diverse cultural contexts worldwide to gather, showcase the beauty of creation, and celebrate the spirit of fashion.
II. Exhibition Sections
The exhibition has six sections:
1. Digital Domain
Cross-disciplinary jewelry innovations driven by digital technology, such as virtual jewelry, smart jewelry, digital manufacturing, parametric design, digital communication, and collaborative creations.
2. Craft Domain
Works emphasizing jewelry craftsmanship and techniques.
3. Material Domain
Jewelry pieces focusing on the value of materials, including new, rare, composite, or sustainable materials.
4. Concept Domain
Jewellery works primarily aimed at expressing ideas.
5. Future Domain Global Jewelry Design Competition (details on the official website)
6. Enterprise section (please contact China Gems Magazine for submissions in this section)
III.Related Activities
During the exhibition, events such as the Beijing International Jewellery Art Fashion Show, Beijing International Jewellery Art Exhibition Summit, International Jewellery Design Education Symposium, Future Domain Global Jewellery Design Competition and Award Ceremony will be held. Outstanding works may be recommended for exhibition at the Rome Jewellery Week in Italy, where they can share the stage with international designers and participate in award competitions. IV. Requirements of Exhibits
1. Strictly confined to “Jewelry” only in principle.
2. Exhibits shall be original submissions created within the last 2 years, focused on aesthetic taste and quality.
3. Applicants must register and submit works via the official website www.futuredesign.cn.
4. Physical submissions shall be within 30cm×30cm×30cm and each weigh 1 kg or below. Each exhibit shall be non-deforming, solid and easy-to-transport in whole, with all parts tightly connected. Virtual submissions are confined to resolution of 1920*1080, frame rate of 60fps. They shall be stored in lossless compression, with a maximum file size of 150MB and a duration of up to 2 minutes. In any special conditions, exhibitors shall contact the Organizing Committee in advance. The Organizing Committee has the right to reject submissions that are inconsistent with the information sheet, go beyond specified size or weight, make noise, emit hazardous gas, leak liquid, cannot be transported or exhibited, or are deemed dangerous to visitors.
5. Exhibitors shall send their submissions to the Sponsor at their own cost (CIF, Cost Insurance and Freight); upon the end of exhibition, the Sponsor will return the exhibits in intact condition to the designers, and if the exhibits are missing or damaged during delivery, the carrier shall bear relevant liability.
6. Exhibitors shall sign up with the Organizing Committee's website on the application page on www.futuredesign.cn, to submit relevant information as required no later than July 31, 2025 Each applicant can hand in 3 exhibits in the maximum, in the form of image (Tiff or Jpeg, 300dpi, 20cm×20cm or above, white or pure color background, no props, which do not apply to pictures of any exhibit on a human model), complete with a 300-character design description (outlining the design idea and theme). Domestic exhibitors shall enter application information in Chinese, while foreign exhibitors (except for ethnic Chinese) shall enter application information in English only; applications submitted beyond the deadline shall not be accepted. In the event of any discrepancies between the exhibits and photos filed in application, the exhibits shall be returned at the designers’ expense. It should be noted that exhibitors’ application materials shall be filed all together in one time under the application link, to avoid any omission or disorder; and application materials shall not be modified or resent after being submitted successfully. Please handle with discretion! Please remember to check the e-mail you use to send the application starting from August 10, 2025. For submissions selected for the exhibition, their designers will be notified by e-mail (Notice of Exhibition) and made public on the official account and website of the International Jewellery College Association. If there is any objection raised to an exhibitor, the Organizing Committee will deprive the exhibitor’s qualification for the exhibition. Submissions shall be consistent with the information specified in the application. And those selected shall not be modified, lest they are lost or unclaimed. It should be understood that the Organizing Committee shall bear no liability for any serious consequences of any changes made to the exhibits.
7. The design information and description of relevant materials shall be entered faithfully, in compliance with Regulation for Administration of Use of Chinese Characters in Publications. The exhibits shall be measured by cm in length; in case of any severe discrepancies of information or text errors, exhibitors shall be deprived of the qualification for exhibition and have exhibits returned at their own expense.
8. Before submitting exhibits, designers shall refer to China’s Customs provisions and regulations on imports/exports, lest the exhibits are embargoed. For delivering selected exhibits, please ensure that the posted are not in the category banned for importation/exportation by China’s Customs (e.g., animal/plant materials not in compliance with quarantine regulations, toxic/hazardous substances). While entering the list of goods, make proper control of the value of goods and insurance limit, otherwise any unpacking inspection fees and prohibitive customs clearance fees that may arise out of mailing valuables shall not be afforded by the Sponsor. Besides, the Sponsor has the right to return the parcels, and any fees and problems resulting from the return of parcels shall be borne by the mailer.
9. The Organizing Committee reserves the rights to: showcase exhibits at its discretion; take snaps of the exhibits; and make public and use relevant photos free of charge, along with personal information and design information entered in the application forms.
10. The exhibition entails a design show. To ensure smooth progress of the design show, you are kindly requested to fill in and sign the Exhibition And Catwalk Show Agreement It should be noted that the Sponsor shall be under no liability for any damages to exhibits for reasons attributable to workmanship, albeit with utmost effort to protect the exhibits in the design show. You are sincerely advised to carefully read and enter the Exhibition And Catwalk Show Agreement, and think twice before deciding whether to demonstrate the exhibits in the design show. 11. No fees shall be charged for exhibits and papers.
V. Event Schedule
Exhibition Dates : October 18, 2025 - May 30, 2026.
1. Exhibit Selection Phase: From January to July 2025, submissions from global artists will be collected and reviewed, culminating in the final selection of approximately 600 exhibits:
- Submission Period: May25, 2025 – July18, 2025. Applicants must register and submit works via the official website www.futuredesign.cn. (Note: Enterprise section submissions should be sent to bijaecgm@163.com)
- Judging & Notification of Acceptance: August 1, 2025 - August 10, 2025. By August, selected applicants will receive an email and the list will be posted on the International Jewellery Design College Association's official WeChat account and website.
- Submission Deadline: Selected works must be shipped via SF Express to the organizing committee between August 25, 2025 and August 31, 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted.
