Intro
Founded in 2018 by two Geneva-based merchants of precious stones and jewelry, Ronny Totah and Thomas Faerber, GemGenève was conceived and designed by exhibitors. This unique show, open to the public, brings together a leading community – merchants of precious stones, diamonds, pearls, and jewelry; contemporary designers, gemological laboratories, manufacturers, specialized booksellers, experts, and historians.

This Call is not for a Competition, it is an Open Call to Apply for an Exhibition Space in the GemGenève Contemporary Designers Section.

Increasingly positioning itself not only as a commercial fair but as an event where great importance is given to culture, youth, education, and the transmission of knowledge, GemGenève is constantly seeking new opportunities and projects to present. The show gives also prominence to renowned designers, emerging talents, schools, and young creators of tomorrow.

Indeed, since its first exhibition, GemGenève has actively supported contemporary artistic creation by introducing the general public to emerging artists or those on the verge of a successful career, giving them access to the international press and visibility to a luxury audience. That's why an entire space is devoted to the contemporary creation, at the heart of the show.

If you are interested in applying for the next edition of GemGenève, which will be held from 8 to 11 May 2025 at Palexpo, Geneva, please send an email to nadege@gemgeneve.com to learn about the packages offered.

About the Curator:
Nadège Totah, member of the Board of Directors, was born into the world of jewelry; coming from a third generation of merchants, she has been working for decades as a dealer in precious stones and jewelry. She is also the curator of the "Village des Designers" space and a dedicated talent scout who travels the world throughout the year in search of new jewelers and innovative designers.
As an ardent enthusiast, she is drawn especially to artists whose pieces embody fresh perspectives on jewelsmithing, offering them a chance to showcase their work and raise their profile. While her expert eye and experience as a seasoned professional naturally inform her choices, Nadège allows herself to be guided first and foremost by her own sensitivities and intuition.
Seeking out distinctive artistic approaches, unusual ways of working with materials and outlooks on jewelsmithing that go against the flow, Nadège Totah has a knack for identifying the most promising artists. She is convinced that to endure, artistic disciplines constantly need to reinvent themselves; as a result, she does not shrink from promoting artists working off the beaten track and thinking well outside the bounds of conventional jewelry.
