Intro
The residency is open to artists within the field of Jewellery/object/crossover/related writing. Applicants may be at any career level including emerging artists or new graduates of collegiate programs. Artists can apply individually or as a group of three.

 
Applying artists should have a project to work on at DBK. The project will be presented to the regional art scene. DBK offers a stipend to support artist living costs during the residency.
Den Brune Koia provides off-grid housing and access to studio equipment (must be experienced in their use).
Artists receive 8000NOK monthly work grants. 
Artists are expected to spend at least 15 hours weekly at work in the studio.
Artists are asked to give an artist talk/ demonstration during the residency.
Artists' work will be presented to the regional art scene.
 
The DBK workshop has equipment/tools for crafting jewellery materials. Setup has an emphasis on metal and plastic; forging, milling, hard soldering, setting, polishing, light healing.

>> Additional asanas like hiking, kayaking, biking, skateboarding, cross country skiing are available.


Conditions:
Artists apply individually or as a group of three. Resident artists receive a stipend to support living costs through the residency. (2021: 8000,- NOK total.)
Resident artists cover their own insurance and travel costs.
Application for residence at DBK should include statement/motivation/project description and 5-10 photos of your work. CV. Also, include the preferred time period for your residence.

Duration of residency 2021: 30 days between 1.July-1.december. 2022: 30 days - three months between January-December.
