San W Gallery/Studio has been dedicated to promoting contemporary arts and crafts in China since 2015. San W Art has three locations, a gallery and a studio in Shanghai and a studio in Jingdezhen. San W Art appreciates and respect uniqueness. Their main focus is to support exploration and the making of ground-breaking work in the field of contemporary arts of crafts.
San W Gallery is located in the historical Former French Concession neighbourhood of Shanghai’s city centre. The neighbourhood with its tree lined streets and Art Deco architecture and the perfect setting for a gallery bring together old and new, East and West, rustic and elegance.

The gallery boasts with a large collection of artworks from extraordinary contemporary international craftsmen in metal, ceramic, glass, lacquer and fibre. The San W Studios offers a comfortable workspace for local and visiting artists to produce contemporary jewellery, lamp-blown glass and ceramic artworks.
San W Studio is located in Songjiang district, Shanghai and is on the 4th floor of the South Building on the campus of Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts. This move has allowed us to partner up with the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts. We will share resources and give students and aspiring young artists exposure to established international artists. Being out of the hustle and bustle of the city gives the studio a relaxing and encouraging atmosphere for learning and experimenting. The Studio facilities cover an area of 800 square meters. For visiting artists, there is an on-campus hotel conveniently located a few steps away from the studio.
