Intro
Coinciding with Munich Jewellery Week / Schmuck 2026, The Fragile Body: The Language of Healing invites artists, makers, and writers to explore the relationship between Art and Health, and how creative practice can become an act of care, restoration, and reflection.

Through jewellery, sculpture, body adornment, and writing, this exhibition examines the body as both vessel and voice, a site where pain, resilience, and tenderness coexist. It invites reflections on how we repair ourselves and others, and how the materials we shape might echo the gestures of healing that take place within us.

At the heart of this project lies a consideration of the female body, its capacity for nurture, transformation, and endurance. The Fragile Body reflects on the roles of women as mothers, caregivers, and creators, while also acknowledging the tensions and choices that accompany these identities, including the decision not to mother.

This exhibition seeks contributions that speak to the quiet yet profound connections between body and mind, health and art, fragility and strength. Through these works, we hope to trace a shared language of healing. One built from touch, memory, and the human desire to make meaning from vulnerability.

Selected works will be presented in the Donner wie Blitz, gallery windows and featured in a publication that gathers reflections and responses to the exhibition’s themes.
