Open Call for Young Designers at AUTOR

AUTOR – The International Contemporary Jewellery Fair once again opens its doors and announces its 23rd edition, scheduled for 16–17 May 2026 at the National Museum of Romanian History (MNIR). This return reasserts a territory where jewellery functions as a language.

There are moments when hands no longer follow rules, but respond to a quiet need to give form to an idea that cannot fit into words; when metal, stone, or found matter becomes something else. Are you ready to leave your mark in a place where adornments are not sought, but deliberate gestures?


The filter and those who pass it

Young Designers at AUTOR returns as a launch platform for those at the beginning of their journey, yet possessing something more important: direction. If you are under 26 and working in the field of contemporary jewellery, this is a direct invitation to exhibit, sell, discover, and also to be validated.

We offer 6 free participation spots to designers under the age of 26.

AUTOR does not speak in empty promises. Across 22 editions, 1,900 talented designers have passed through its filter. Thousands of pieces have left the white tables and reached the world, worn, discussed, and judged. Here, selection operates through a careful, rigorous process.

For 2026, the decision will be made by a jury. The criteria leave no room for easy interpretations: coherence, personal vision, solid concept, respect for the principles of contemporary jewellery, and true mastery of materials and technique. It is not enough for it to be beautiful. It must have meaning, too.


YOUNG DESIGNERS at AUTOR 2026 section:
For those selected, participation costs are fully covered, meaning free entry. The participation in Young Designers is supported by the AUTOR for the Future Association, the AUTOR platform, and its backers. For other interested participants, a participation fee of 500–600 euros applies.


What we offer:

• Exhibition space (white jewellery table 125×68 cm, H 90 cm, and chair),
• Promotion before and after the event (social media posts on AUTOR’s official accounts, primarily Facebook and Instagram),
• Direct interaction with purchasing visitors, yes, your presence at the fair is a must.
• Access to industry specialists invited by AUTOR.

Selection results will be announced on 1st May.
