Maestro Acquafresca (Fabrizio Acquafresca) is arguably one of the greatest names in Chasing and Repousse. He has made it his life mission not only to create beautiful works of art but also to pass on his art all over the world. Based in Florence (Italy), he has taught all over Europe (Portugal, Switzerland, UK, Belgium), Costa Rica and the United States. His tool kits are designed to get the best results in a variety of designs.
No workshop is the same: they are all different experiences, but always extraordinary ones, also thanks to the mix of students that this extraordinary master attracts. And for a good reason: the teaching is individualised, students are challenged technically so they can achieve the best possible technical ability, so their design concept comes to life. And magically a metal sheet becomes all-but-living three dimensional object. So, along with beginner students, we have the ones who keep coming back to get challenged further.
After class, there is plenty of opportunities for students to have fun and relax. Porto is, after all, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, with plenty to see and do.
This course is suitable for all levels and all tools are provided. The course will be done using only Maestro Acquafresca's tools and pitch (traditional florentine pitch) and will available for purchase.
Material: All metals can be used to complete the projects, but we strongly suggest copper or (preferable) fine silver sheet (999 per 1000) 0,7 mm thick, to maximise the amount of volume and details.
Language: The course will be taught in English.
Price: €400 + €35 for shipping the tools.
Included: copper for the first exercise (dragonfly or ginkgo leaf); tools (on loan). Not included: metal for the individual project
Hour: The course is a total of 30 hours.
Next year there will be two more editions: in May and September. The final dates will soon be announced, but you are encouraged to join a waiting list to secure your spot.
