ContacT. Workshops and Conferences

Jewelry is an intimate personal means of communicating concepts, ideals, status, and beliefs to ourselves as well as to those around us. This powerful language, worn on our bodies, crosses cultural and social boundaries throughout the world.

ContacT is a workshop series and an international conference of artists who are actively exploring new and relevant ways to make jewelry speak, using this wordless medium as a way to make contact with others.

ContacT will bring together jewelry artists and students from over eight countries. This event provides another valuable instance of contact; bringing together artists from different continents, languages, cultures, and history.

Workshops
If you choose to attend one of the workshop experiences, the cost is $285.00 US. This fee includes the fee for attending the ContacT Conference on June the 18th and food service (breakfast and lunch) from June 14th -18th.

Room / Lodging
If you will be attending one of the workshop events, all participants and many of the artists will be staying in Smith Hall just across the street from the College. The cost for 7 nights ( Sunday June 13th- Saturday the19th) is $250.00. Smith Hall is conveniently located, fully air-conditioned and has desk service.

Conference You may choose to attend the ContacT Conference on June the18th only. The cost for attending the conference only is $60.00. This conference fee includes food service for the event (a light breakfast and a lunch).
