Elemento is pleased to invite Sensei (Master) Kimiaki Kageyama, a renowned Japanese master goldsmith, to lead an introduction to traditional Japanese techniques, with a focus on copper alloys and the decorative inlay technique.

Over the course of three days, Sensei Kageyama will explain the various copper alloys (shibuichi) used in Japan and the inlay technique used to decorate intricate pieces, whether jewellery or other objects.
This is a wonderful opportunity to meet Mr. Kageyama and, through his approach and experience, immerse yourself in a facet of Japanese culture and metalwork.

As a leading figure in jewellery education in Japan, he was among the first metalworking instructors at the Hiko Mizuno School of Jewellery. He has participated in the Schmuck Fair (Munich) since 1992 and has received numerous awards; he also leads workshops and gives lectures internationally.
