Coming together with different life experiences and with a strong artistic ambition to express the mature female gaze has given the inspiration and the empowerment to this project. This group exhibition will also give something of a time perspective to the ancient goddess cult. With the deconstruction of Venus from Willendorf, some of what is known, unknown and thought to be known about her and her sisters will be revealed. The Venus Mountain could be an anatomical term, the home of a goddess or a place on a remote planet. It is however you look at it a strong mental place.


Participant Artists: 
- Andrea Zahlbruckner-Jaufer is the founder of kunst.wirt.schaft in Graz and works across jewellery, curating and exhibition-making.
- Claudia Stuhlhofer-Mayr turned to jewellery, where stories and their contexts are central to her practice, after a career as a freelance designer.
- Chiara Longaririgi creates jewellery through an intuitive dialogue between art, nature and material, embracing experimentation and imperfection.
- Helle Rasmussen-Theliander, based in rural Dalsland, works primarily in silver and explores the subtle gaps within human communication.
- Lena Birgitsdotter works across jewellery, objects and sculpture, exploring simple forms, abstraction, minimalism and movement.
- Lena Lindahl, based on the island of Styrsö near Gothenburg, explores contemporary jewellery through ecology, biodiversity and the Anthropocene.
