Our objective is to showcase the work of contemporary artists from Austria and abroad; and to cultivate a milieu in which jewellery assumes a more substantial role within the broader context of contemporary art.

kunst.wirt.schaft is a non-profit art project devoted to authors and contemporary jewellery. It was founded in 2002 by Andrea Zahlbruckner-Jaufer and Eva Schmeiser-Cadia. The objective of this initiative is twofold: firstly, to showcase the work of contemporary artists from Austria and abroad; and secondly, to cultivate a milieu in which jewellery assumes a more substantial role within the broader context of contemporary art.
To this end, the organisation develops and organises four to six exhibitions per annum. Notably, the project functions as a significant platform for emerging artists, offering recent graduates a professional setting in which to showcase their work. In addition to the management of the gallery, the eight resident jewelry artists are engaged in their own projects and commissions within the on-site atelier.
The kunst.wirt.schaft team now consists of: Corina Hatzi, Gigi Haubenhofer-Salicites, Chiara Longari, Sigrun Palmisano, Sofia Schwienbacher, Claudia Stuhlhofer-Mayr, Helya Wernhart und Andrea Zahlbruckner-Jaufer.
On-site facilities: temporary exhibition gallery, meeting room, atelier, contemporary jewellery showcase, selection of contemporary jewellery books.
