A-FAD

At A-FAD, we believe that matter is essential to understanding our position in the world as designers, artists, artisans and users. While in the year 1903 a group of artisans, architects and artists founded the FAD, seventy years later a core of artists and artisans «called for» their specificity within a FAD that had been a pioneer in boldly committing to design and industry since the nineteen-seventies.

Today, at A-FAD we enthusiastically pursue the task of supporting the artistic and artisan community from a cross-sectional perspective in which art, the crafts and contemporary jewellery share space and dialogue.

Our duty is also to focus our attention on the new crafts that are emerging in response to new creation models and to dynamise the knowledge born of materials and their properties.
