Artesania Catalunya was created in 1986 by the Government of Catalonia to promote and disseminate the values of Catalan crafts in society. The craft centre in Barcelona has a shop, exhibition halls and an event room with its own programme all year round. You are invited to visit us if you are in town!
Artesania Catalunya also manages and draws up the budget and regulations governing the craft sector in Catalonia and collaborates with other national and international entities in projects related to crafts.

Crafts with identity
The Empremtes de Catalunya store is a project of the Generalitat de Catalunya, through which it exhibits and sells products made by artisan companies of different trades in Catalonia.
These artisans are accredited by the Generalitat de Catalunya in recognition of the technical, quality and design domain of one or more trades, which is awarded by a commission made up, among others, of Master Craftsmen. All the pieces on display in the store have not only been selected for their design and finishes, but are inspired by icons linked to art, culture, history, tradition, architecture, landscape and folk customs. of Catalonia, which gives them added value.
Therefore, Empremtes de Catalunya is not just a handicraft shop, it is a space where artisans leave their mark on the identity of today’s culture with the aim of exhibiting and promoting the best Catalan handicrafts.
