Emerging from the rich heritage of Polish goldsmithing traditions during a period of cultural transformation in the early 1990s, STFZ has played an important role in shaping the development of contemporary jewellery in Poland. Established by 15 founding members, the association has grown into one of the key professional platforms for jewellery artists in the country.
Today, STFZ brings together approximately 160 professional contemporary jewellery artists and actively contributes to both national and international dialogue within the field.
Goals and Objectives: The main objectives of STFZ are:
- To promote Polish contemporary jewellery in Poland and internationally,
- To support the professional development of its members,
- To organize and co-organize exhibitions, competitions, workshops, and educational initiatives,
- To collaborate with international jewellery organizations and networks,
- To document and archive contemporary jewellery practices in Poland.
STFZ operates independently and is financed through membership fees. Organizational and administrative activities are carried out voluntarily by members of the Board and the Program Council.
