Crowning of the Enjoia't 2024 Awards Winners

This award recognises the proposal that questions and transgress the limits of contemporary jewellery through its originality, technical quality and the conceptual richness. The 2024 Enjoia’t awards put the focus on sustainability, traceability, and the resignification of materials in contemporary jewellery.

Inspired by philosopher Donna Haraway’s multispecies networks, the Enjoia’t 2024 awards sought to explore perspectives that transcend the human and promote new ways of relating to our environment. An exercise aimed at jewellery professionals and students that advocated sustainable practices, such as reuse, reinterpretation and traceability of materials, to promote a more conscious and supportive future.

The jury, made up of Jorge Manilla, Ángela Bermúdez, Heidi Schechinger, Lluís Comín, Paulo Ribeiro, Amador Bertomeu and Carmen Amador, chose as winners: Bread Basket 5 Biodegradable by Wiebke Pandikow in the professional category and Paisaje Alquímico by Javier Ens in the student category.

As is tradition with the awards, the winners will participate in a coronation ceremony with crowns produced by the winners of the Enjoia’t 2022 awards, Teresa F. Faris and Clodagh Molloy. The event will take place at the Hannah Gallery by Klimt02, official partner of the awards, and will feature Amador Bertomeu, co-founder of Klimt02 and member of the Enjoia't 2024 awards jury, Yael Olave, member of the A-FAD Board, and Maria Lluïsa Samaranch de Lacambra, Vice-President of the A-FAD.
