Based on the information received from the participants, the jury will proceed to make the selection of the submitted works that will be eligible for the award in both categories: Professional and Student.
The organisation will contact the selected participants so they proceed to complete the following steps and correctly access the second phase of the contest:

1. All the selected works must be delivered to the A-FAD headquarters between the 1st and the 13th of September, 2024.

By shipping*:

“A-FAD, Artistas y Artesanos del FAD”
Badajoz street 175, 08018, Barcelona. (loading dock).
T.: 932566777
> Reception only from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

By appointment:
To deliver the piece in person at the A-FAD office, (in Plaza de les Glòries Catalanes, 37-38, 08018 Barcelona, -1 floor), you must previously make an appointment by email: projectes@a-fad.org

2. The selected participants must send a video to the email projectes@a-fad.org, before September 13th 2024.
In the video, a maximum of 5 minutes of duration, the jeweller need to specify the details of the selected work, and briefly describe the concept and the techniques applied to create it.

* Regarding the shipping of the pieces:
The participants must bear the shipping costs. In the same way they will have to program and take care of the piece return. To avoid unnecessary high shipping costs, the organisation recommends adding the following concept: “International Exhibition Contest Material / No Commercial Value” as the reason for shipping.
In no case, the organisation will assume any cost related to the shipment and return of the works. In case the organisation has to pay any expense for the reception or return of the piece, an invoice will be sent to the participant and they must cover the amount within the period stipulated by the organisation. Failure to pay this amount within the indicated period will mean the elimination of the artist’s participation in the contest.

Second Phase:
To guarantee their participation in the second phase of the contest, the selected participants will have to send the organisation between the 1st and the 13th of September 2024: the video, the piece at the A-FAD headquarters and, if applicable, have covered the expenses related to the shipment that the organisation covered in advance.
All the works that have been selected by the jury, as long as their creators have completed the previous steps correctly, will be part of the exhibition “Selected Works of the Contemporary Jewellery Awards ENJOIA’T 2024”, between September 19th and on November 3rd at Disseny Hub Barcelona.

1. Deliberation of the jury, September.
The jury will assess in person, in first instance, the selected works through the pieces shown in the exhibition, the videos and the documentation  provided.

2. Defence of the work in an online interview, with the selected participants between the 13th and 17th of September.
To recover direct contact between the participants and the jury, although without the obligation to attend, individual defences of the selected pieces will be carried out through a live online interview.
Each participant must make a brief defence of their piece (5 minutes of explanation and 5 minutes to answer the jury’s questions) individually and online through the channels provided by the organisation.
