Under the guidance of highly skilled jeweller Regine Schwarzer, participants will learn two flush-setting processes in this one-day workshop for intermediate to advanced-level students.
All required tools and materials will be supplied to complete projects in two different setting techniques: flush setting into sheet metal, and flush setting with a fine silver jump-ring.
Each student will receive their own kit of materials for the workshop to keep and take home, including:

- 10 cubic zirconias (3mm)
- stone setting burr
- heart burr
- an assortment of drill bits
- copper sheets in 2 mm and 1.5 mm
- fine silver jump rings

This workshop is suitable for intermediate to advanced-level students who have completed JamFactory's Level 2 Silver Jewellery course or higher.

Tutor: Regine Schwarzer
Born in Germany and trained in jewellery-making and metalwork at the Zeichenakademie Hanau, one of the oldest training institutions in Europe, she holds a Masters Degree in Visual Arts and Design.
Regine Schwarzer’s moved to Australia in 1993 profoundly influenced her work as she discovered a passion for rocks and minerals which occur in abundance here. Inspired by the colours and structures of these minerals, her work is a continual exploration of the possibilities offered by engaging with minerals and rocks in cut and uncut form. She exhibits widely nationally and internationally; her work is included in many private and public collections. Throughout her career, Schwarzer has spent time mentoring emerging jewellers, lectured at the College of the Arts and presented workshops in Adelaide and Interstate.
