Intro
In this fun workshop Louise Perrone will demonstrate the hand sewing technique she has developed to create and attach metal findings to textile jewellery, including earring posts, earwires, pinbacks, and clasps.

All workshops are interactive, and are recorded for viewing at your own pace. Participants have recording access for 45 days.
In the first session, students will learn how to source with Louise Perrone, select, and adapt quality readymade metal findings for textile jewelry. In the second session students will learn how to design and fabricate their own custom findings and securely incorporate them into their textile pieces.

About Louise Perrone:
Louise Perrone is a Canadian jewelry artist, originally from the UK. She holds a BFA in Jewelry and Metals from Alberta College of Art & Design and a BA in Sculpture from Nottingham Trent University. Her work has been exhibited internationally and featured in several publications. She is a recipient of multiple awards, including the BC Achievement Foundation’s Carter Wosk Award. She teaches in the jewelry programs at Vancouver Community College and LaSalle College Vancouver.
