Online Workshop. Hard Wax Carving for Sculptural Rings by Donna Veverka

This workshop introduces the fundamentals of carving hard wax models for rings, which can later be cast into metal. We’ll guide you through each step, from design and layout to carving techniques and preparing the wax for casting. You’ll learn about the essential tools, their functions, and specific carving techniques to bring your designs to life. By the end, you’ll have a solid foundation for creating your own sculptural rings in wax!

About Donna Veverka:
Donna Veverka is a Boston based studio jeweler. She creates limited edition and one of a kind jewelry inspired by classical and renaissance architecture. Her work has been featured in Metalsmith magazine, the award winning Cast book and most recently, Mastering Contemporary Jewelry Design. She has participated in fairs around the country including The Smithsonian Craft Show and the American Craft Council shows. Donna studied metalsmithing at The University of the Arts and sculpture at MassArt.
