In this class, we will explore techniques for raising metal into spiculums, a pointed or elongated shape, often associated with decorative elements or fine details, creating two distinct types that can be used in both jewelry making and sculpture.
All of our online workshops are recorded, and, with the purchase of a seat in the class, you have access to the recording(s) between workshop sessions and for 45 days after the workshop ends.

The first type is a straight spiculum, which is raised to form tubing that can be bent or used for custom-sized stone settings. The second type involves open spiculum forms, ideal for crafting bracelets and adding volume to sculptures without excessive weight. A key highlight of this class is Pattie’s expertise in simplifying the tool requirements, making these techniques more accessible and efficient.
