Intro
To make a spoon is a gratifying experience both in the design phase and in the ongoing use of your object at your dinner table.
This is a beginner's spoon-making series of workshops where you can make at least one silver spoon. It is taught in the Bauhaus method of design processes and is an open-minded and easygoing experience for beginners. At 11 a.m. on weekdays and some Saturdays, these private sessions are offered by an arranged appointment with Suzy. If you'd like to bring a friend, we can accommodate two students at one time.

Beginners welcome. Just bring your enthusiasm.

Price: AUD 410 for three sessions.
Schedule: 3 Sessions of One 90-minute per week over three weeks.

About the teacher:
These workshops are taught by an experienced tertiary-level educator, Suzy Weir MDes is welcoming and generous while offering skills-based learning and the creative process. Suzy Weir MDes studied industrial design at Pratt Institute, New York, Royal Institute of Copenhagen, University of Technology Sydney, Australia, and at The Art Students League NY. With 25 years of jewellery-making practice in Sydney in a charming shopfront gallery and workshop, she gives private classes in silver casting. The wearable sculpture of Suzy Weir MDes, hand-carved wax, cast into noble metals, is embedded with ancient symbols from the visual language of diverse cultures.
