About Nelly Van Oost
Since 2018, I have been the coordinator of Workshops Crafts Brussels, where I curate and accompany workshops led by international artists. This role allows me to foster encounters, share knowledge, and create bridges between diverse creative practices. My commitment is to build spaces where experimentation and exchange can unfold freely.
Since 2023, I have also been teaching jewellery at the Academy of Arts in Woluwe st Pierre, where I guide students through both the technical and conceptual aspects of the discipline. Teaching, for me, is not only about transmitting skills, but also about encouraging reflection, curiosity, and the confidence to explore personal artistic paths.
Alongside this pedagogical work, I pursue my own artistic research. My creative process is an intertwining of aspirations, inspirations, and pathways. I am drawn to the idea of shaping the immaterial — giving form to inner thoughts and translating them into tangible objects. This quest often leads me to reflect on identity and on the invisible connections that surround us in our daily lives.
