Intro
I greatly appreciate everyone who does something new in his field. These people provide nutriment for interpretation to the next generation of artists, designers and jewelers.
Do you think that jewelry is being standardized? What is there of local and universal in your artistic work?
I believe that in handcrafted jewelry art, like in any other, there is only one rule - no standards! Only by going against rules and standards can we create something new.
When developing an idea, I rethink every piece of my jewelry not through the prism of culture artifacts, but the nature of life itself.
That is why you can notice the love for natural textures in my work. Texture is like a life imprint for me.

What do you expect when exposing your work to the public (for example with an exhibition)?
Each exhibition solves specific task. I have no illusions and don’t get disappointed. But there are important aspects: communication with customers, jewelers and experts. It is also interesting to see the reaction on my jewelers.

Are other areas besides the jewelry, present in your work?
Working on each jewelry piece, I rethink the great mystery of life origins and try to dip my customers in those thoughts.

The last work, book, film, city that has moved me was…
A la rencontre written by Claudine Morel. It shows how one object can be transformed into another in a completely unexpected way.

A place, space, country whose creativity surprises me…
Varanasi, India. This is a city-portal between life and death, death and life...

Is there any designer, jeweler, artist, you appreciate a lot?
I greatly appreciate everyone who does something new in his field. These people provide nutriment for interpretation to the next generation of artists, designers and jewelers.

What piece or work has given you the most satisfaction?
I love the final part of creating the new jewelry. I like to see how the concept / idea / shape / texture is transformed and perfected during its production.

Do you read Jewelry Magazines? What is your source to get information?
I do not read magazines. I am more interested in new and old production techniques. I am looking for fresh solutions in usual techniques, I turn them upside down in order to achieve a unique result.

Do you discuss your work with other jewelry artists or any other person?
I don’t discuss ideas, I discuss techniques. I would like to learn what technical solution another jeweler would choose.

What is your first thought when you hear the word Future?, What do you expect for?
Death which is inevitably followed by a new Life.
